Para CORNERSTONE es de vital importancia apoyar a nuestro equipo en que expanda sus horizontes y que todos estemos en constante crecimiento personal y profesional. Somos un equipo multicultural y está vez la oportunidad fue de nuestra Blockchain Lead Developer, Carolina Velasquez, quien viajó a Londres como invitada de CordaCon. Se llenó de nuevas ideas y volvió  recargada de energía para compartir sus conocimientos. Acá nos comparte un poco de su experiencia.

Estas son "Habilidades que todo empleador quiere hoy", es lo que mencionó Kathryn Parsons en su presentación. Viéndolo desde otro punto de vista, estás son las habilidades que necesitan las compañías para poder ir al ritmo de la tecnología y más específicamente para no morir en el intento de subirse al bus de Blockchain... o peor aún, no subirse siendo necesario hacerlo.

Más de 1000 líderes de Blockchain y entusiastas de Corda nos reunimos en Londres el 23 y 24 de Octubre para aprender más sobre esta tecnología y cómo se está implementando para resolver problemas del mundo real. 

CordaCon duro dos días y fueron geniales; el primero, el DevDay. Se explicaron nuevas herramientas de desarrollo y de integración para Corda en diferentes sesiones, mi favorita fue: “Common CorDapp mistakes and how to fix them”, ejemplos prácticos de como hacer una CorDapp más segura.

También hubo interesantes anuncios como el de Truffle y sus planes para añadir soporte a Corda, lo que permitirá a los desarrolladores de Ethereum usar las conocidas Web3 y Truffle para crear aplicaciones en Corda.

En el BizDay, sesiones muy interesantes sobre proyectos de diferentes campos funcionando sobre Corda como identidad digital, seguros, activos digitales y aeronautics... solo por nombrar algunos.

El objetivo si es brindar una breve opinión personal sobre el evento y es la siguiente: realmente fue muy satisfactorio conocer a tantas personas, ideas y esfuerzos unidos por crecer este ecosistema. Esto es algo que alienta aún más a seguir con la labor. Además es de reconocer la organización del evento, los expositores, las múltiples sesiones y los pastelitos...

Expectativas: La próxima versión del evento es el 16 y 17 de septiembre del 2020. Para el DevDay me encantaría ver más ejemplos de desarrollo y arquitecturas integradas a diferentes modelos de negocio, seguir viendo el estado de adopción de Corda y en general de Blockchain a nivel mundial.

These is what Kathryn Parsons mentioned in her presentation. Looking at it from another point of view, these are the skills that companies need to have in order to be able to keep up with technology and more specifically, not to die trying to get on the Blockchain trend ... or even worse, not to join the trend when it is needed to do so.

More than 1000 Blockchain leaders and Corda enthusiasts met in London on October 23 and 24 to learn more about this technology and how it is being implemented to solve real-world problems.

CordaCon lasted two days and it was amazing; first, the DevDay. New development and integration tools were explained for Corda in different sessions, my favorite was: “Common CorDapp mistakes and how to fix them”. Practical examples of how to make a CorDapp safer. There were also interesting ads such as Truffle's and its plans to add support to Corda, which will allow Ethereum developers to use the well-known Web3 and Truffle to create applications in Corda.

In BizDay, very interesting sessions on projects from different fields operating on Corda such as digital identity, insurance, digital assets and aeronautics ... just to name a few.

The objective is to give a brief personal opinion about the event and it is the following: it was really satisfying to meet so many people, ideas and efforts united to grow this ecosystem. This is something that encourages further work. It is also needed to recognize the organization of the event, the exhibitors, the multiple sessions and the cupcakes ...

Expectations: The next version of the event will take place in September 16 and 17, 2020. For the DevDay I would love to see more examples of development and architectures integrated into different business models, continue to see the adoption status of Corda and worldwide Blockchain adoption in general.
